Dove Awards 2020 | Sinach’s Waymaker wins Song of the year

International gospel singer and worship leader Sinach is the song of the year winner in the just concluded GMA Dove Awards 2020. She won the award for the category with her song “Waymaker”.

The song waymaker deservedly won the award as it has really been a song of comfort to people all over the world most especially during the lockdown due to the pandemic this year, with different versions of the song making it to the billboard charts.

The Gospel Music Association, GMA, of the United States organize the Dove Awards and it has been acclaimed as one of the biggest gospel music awards in the world. And the song of the year Award is the most prestigious of its awards.

Sinach will be the first Nigerian artist to win a Dove Award. Here is what she said after receiving the award on Instagram.
